Nicolai Shuman is Senior Director of Entrepreneurship & Ecosystem Development at Activation Capital, where he focuses on supporting the commercialization of life science innovations and growing the Greater Richmond region's startup ecosystem. Drawing on deep experience with early-stage companies as an operator, advisor, and consultant, he has supported ventures across multiple industries from formation through growth. His previous roles include COO of UZURV and Director of Growth at Knotel. Nicolai holds an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, and a BA in German from Middlebury College.
